A 60-year-old woman was hit and killed in Monostorapáti, the Veszprém County Police Headquarters announced on Wednesday evening.
According to their announcement, shortly before 6 p.m., a pickup truck was driving towards Tapolca on main road no. 77, in the interior of Monostorapáti. The driver of the vehicle from Zalaegerszeg noticed the pedestrian in dark clothing walking on the road too late, so he could no longer avoid the collision. The local woman suffered so serious injuries that she died on the spot, the police wrote.
